General Information so you can make the right choice SIZE MATTERS A lot of people are interested on small, tiny or teacup size puppies to satisfy a few situations in their life. But a tiny dog requires much more care than a regular size dog. Please take a look and consider the following:
Sizes over 10 Lbs (the bigger the better) will handle much better most lifestyles in America, Outdoor activities ( beach, swimming pool, park activities) and they will not be an easy pray for a fox, coyote, eagle, snakes, or a bigger dog. BE WISE ABOUT THE PUPPY'S AGE Some people will try to demean or devalue a puppy for it's age. Example: Some people will assume that a puppy which is 3 months or older should be cheaper in price. WRONG!!!! It is a fact that most people want a very young puppy. Only a few people will be convinced to get an older puppy once they have gone through a horrible experience. If you ask your vet what age is ideal to buy a puppy, I'm sure you will get different opinions but I'm also sure that most will agree that if they are current on their shots, at 3 months of age or older is ideal and here are the reasons.
There is much more care, love and maintenance invested on older puppies and they will be priced correctly for all the benefits you get from them. INFORMATION ABOUT VIDEO AND PICTURES Most of people rely on our videos buy our puppies. The most playful and active are usually the pups that normally sell faster. In fact, all our puppies are very playful and sweet, but due to the way we have to take videos and photos which is a time consuming task, puppies are not always ready to feel playful. Here is a few reasons that affects their outcome on photos/videos
It is very entertaining to see your puppy playing before you buy, but unfortunately our videos are not meant to display their true temperament or personality (if you can tell at this young age). Our videos are simply meant to show you the puppy in full dimensions because in a video there is more view than in a picture. The same thing happens to some pictures. Sometimes a puppy moves too much and we can't get the right position (Puppy looking down, up, left or right) and that's why we sometimes are unable to post a happy looking puppy on a photo. All puppies are happy and playful, there may be a slight difference in temperament between each other, since these are family oriented dogs, I am sure they will fit perfectly in your family. If you look on our references, those puppies were randomly selected and as you can see, PEOPLE LOVE THEM!. REGISTRATION PAPERS Please don't buy a puppy for its papers, (AKC, Pedrigree, etc), buy a puppy because you are in love with him/her and because you will love him/her unconditionally the same way they love you. PRICES Never buy a puppy judging the price.
Prices are just
relative and a
higher priced puppy is not any better than a lowered
priced puppy. Different breeders have different concepts,
criteria
or standards on their prices and that is how our prices can be very
relative. A lower priced puppy has the same friendly and
healthy conditions as the expensive ones so please don't
pick a puppy for its price, you should buy a puppy
because you fall in love with him/her. They all have wonderful
temperaments and are great for families, see our
references if you doubt it. PUPPY-PROOF THE NEW ENVIRONMENT Your home may not be 100% ready for a new puppy. Your new puppy will be quite small in size but will still be able to get himself into trouble. Puppies are like babies and love to play with everything. This means that things at ground level that may cause a mishap; will need to be considered. Puppies tend to put everything into their mouths. Things like electrical wires and cords need to be secured. Another concern for your new puppy can be household cleaners and poisons. Many people have household cleaners, bug and rodent killers on low level shelves in their homes. For instance, you would want to make sure these items are placed on a higher shelf when your toddler who is crawling around. This is important because virtually all of these are considered to be poisonous to a puppy. Household plants can be very harmful to your puppy. Some plants are very poisonous to animals. Plants such as Aloe Vera, Eucalyptus, and Baby's Breath are very toxic, just to name a few. It is always best to check with your local veterinarian before you bring your puppy home. The vet can tell you which plants you may need to get rid of. It is best to remove all objects from the floor and lower areas of your home. It is recommended that you get down to your puppy level and see what they see. This can help you spot any problem areas and issue that you might have otherwise over looked. The toilet is another issue for a puppy. You must always remember to keep the toilet seat lid down. Certain cleaners in the water and in your toilet bowl can be very toxic to animals. Also your puppy could fall in head first and may not be able to get a grip to get out. It is always recommended to keep the seat down. If you have a balcony or porch, you must not leave your puppy unattended. Sometimes puppies tend to get to sneak through the bars or find a little opening. They can slip right through before you even have time to notice they are gone. Also if your balcony is on a higher level this is very important to remember because your puppy could slip through the bars and fall, this could cause serious injuries or even death. GENERAL PET QUESTIONS
AVOID DISEASES We will use the term “fully vaccinated” when a puppy has received a total of 4 vaccinations “for Parvo and Distemper virus” which are given every 2-4 weeks and the last vaccination was give at the age of 16 weeks. Please be careful and follow these instructions or tips that will help you keep your puppy healthy. There are two deadly contagious diseases which are spread all over the world and you need to be careful while the puppy is Not fully vaccinated.
Canine Parvovirus information and facts Parvo is not an airborne virus but bird can spread it from backyard to back yard sonce they come to eat the dog's food too. A combination of 4 oz of bleach (I would use 5 oz at least) to a gallon of water will be a good concentration to kill the virus. Hand sanitizing DOES NOT kill parvo virus. Once a puppy becomes infected, it takes from 3 – 8 days for the puppy to show symptoms. (Looks depressed and Lethargic, profuse diarrhea (eventually bloody), nausea, vomits. Parvovirus has no cure and survival rates are only 50% of treated animals. After being infected, only aggressive treatment can be done with fluids and antibiotics to prevent side defects like dehydration and infection. Treatment may take 5-15 days for the puppy to either make it or die. Sometimes after being saved by treatments they can have internal damage. Canine Distemper Distemper is one of the most deadliest viruses on dogs, because it is airborne, it is highly contagious. It can be transmitted through urine, saliva, fluids, feces, etc. if a puppy is infected, it has been known to infect others just by breathing the virus out but it is more common to infect thought sneezing and coughing. Symptoms can be runny eyes, runny nose, coughing, sneezing, hard paws, rash on the belly, diarrhea and eventually seizures, twitching and other neurological problems may occur. Survival rates are low, around 10% only. Please avoid any possible exposure of your puppy while the puppy is under vaccinated.
